The Ministry has spent over 87,000 euros in the recovery of seven properties in the town since 2005
The Director General of Planning and Housing, Antonio Navarro, accompanied by the mayor of Ricote, Miguel Angel Candel, today visited the rehabilitation work that the Ministry of Public Works and Planning has completed two ancient buildings of architectural interest located in the center history in the township.
"These works are part of the proceedings of preserving the architectural heritage of the Region, particularly in the municipality of Ricote, have resulted in the recovery by the Ministry of seven buildings of historic interest in the population since 2005 and in which the regional government has invested a total of 87,636 euros, "said the CEO.
"This latest action has involved the rehabilitation of two centuries-old buildings on which action has made a comprehensive renovation of the facades and roofs, in the activities funded through the program of" Adaptation and restoration of facades, roofs and medians', held on historic buildings in the 45 municipalities of the Region, "Navarro stressed.
These are two buildings that stand out for their traditional style and its antiquity, dating from 1901 and 1910.
In both houses has been made covering the facade with stucco finish.
It has also placed a natural stone base, wooden slatted blinds, joinery has been replaced and the railings, the eaves have been repaired and installed new gutters and downspouts for proper collection of rainwater.
