The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, Antonio López, commercial and organizer of the cycling event, and the Councilor for Sports, Fulgencio García, have presented the Ultra BxM (mountain bike) Ricote Extreme- Regional Championship, which will take place on November 16 in this area and that will bring together the most outstanding mountain bike professionals in Spain, other autonomous regions and Murcia.
This competition will be held in the Sierra de Ricote and has a height difference of 3,000 meters in a route of more than 105 kilometers.
The test is supported by the Mountain Federation of the Region and with departure and arrival in Plaza 1º de Mayo de Archena.
The Mayor applauded "the good organization and the importance of the race, since before being presented there are already 500 registered participants, from 16 Spanish provinces."
For its part, the promoter of the test has explained that "the hardness of this race will make the first participant is estimated to take more than 5 hours to complete."
For the little ones, a race has also been organized for a circuit that will be held for May 1st Square and Villa Rías de Archena Garden.
The organizers have planned to carry out social work after the test result.
For this purpose, some bracelets have been made with the motto 'Never stop dreaming', whose sale is destined for an animal sanctuary and the trophies of the podiums of all categories will be made by ASSIDO (Murcia Down syndrome association).
