José María Gómez Manuel and Jesús Joaquín López Moreno publish "Prehistoric art in Ricote" in the special supplement of the newspaper La Opinion de la Fiestas de Ricote Prehistoric paintings by Ricote.
With the title "Prehistoric art in Ricote", the companions José María Gómez Manuel and Jesús Joaquín López Moreno have contributed an article in the Festival Special of San Sebastián de Ricote.
In the writing they announce the characteristics of the cave paintings given in this municipal term.
Denounced by the Cultural Association "La Carrahila" before the Historical Heritage Service of the CARM
In 2012, they were announced at two conferences of José María Gómez Manuel in Ricote: one on August 22, 2013, in the Cultural Summers of the Villa, and the other on October 17, 2015, on the occasion of an exhibition on the regional rock art that hosted the municipal library, under the auspices of the Department of Culture represented by José María García Avilés.
This led to the initiative of a suggestive project, still to be carried out, to enhance Ricote's cave paintings with the help of professional experts in photogrammetry and prehistoric recreation of the Society of Historiological and Ethnographic Studies of the Highlands of the Argos, Quípar and Alhárabe, whose reins are Pedro Lucas Salcedo and Teresa Fernández Azorín.
With them, the Cultural Association «La Carrahila» maintains an interesting collaboration.
Hopefully all these efforts bear fruit very soon in the possibility that this World Heritage can be better known and valued by a large number of people, inside and outside Ricote.
