The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with members of the Molina de Segura fire station and emergency medical services of 061, has located and rescued on the B-15 road, Ricote municipality, to a motorist who He fell down an embankment and collided with a tree.
The events took place on the afternoon of last Sunday, March 8, when the Benemérita was alerted to the traffic accident that occurred on a regional road in Ricote, due to an alleged departure from the road of the driver of a motorcycle.
Agents specializing in Prevention of Citizen Security of Archena moved to the area and began a reconnaissance raid until they located, at the bottom of a slope, a motorcycle and its driver.
When they were able to access the point where the wounded person was, they verified that he was in an unconscious state and with multiple scratches, so they proceeded to stabilize them through a security position, while emergency medical services were alerted.
The civil guards verified that the motorcycle, apparently, got off the track, fell down an embankment, collided with a pine tree after a few meters of free fall and was embedded, while its driver continued its precipitation and fell, from a considerable slope, 50 meters below.
Due to the abrupt terrain, the troops there displaced from the Molina de Segura Fire Station, the 061 Emergency Medical Services and the civil guards themselves who treated the injured along with Benemérita Traffic specialists began the rescue of the victim, by manual removal on a stretcher, to the next road from where he was evacuated to the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Hospital in Murcia.
The rapid and diligent action of the civil guards allowed the location of the injured and their evacuation, in collaboration with members of the Molina de Segura fire station and emergency medical services of 061, with maximum speed.
The 66-year-old male biker from Puente Tocinos-Murcia resulted in serious prognosis injuries and remains hospitalized.
The Cieza Traffic Detachment instructs proceedings for the said road accident.
