| The actions are part of the new investments to repair the damage of the dana and will mainly benefit the residents of Abarán , Ojós and Ricote | The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure invests more than 1.4 million euros in improving road safety on three regional roads that run through the Ricote Valley, specifically through the municipalities of Abarán, Ojós and Ricote, and which suffered damage to consequence of last year's damage.
They are part of the package of new regional investments whose amount rises to just over 4 million euros.The three works that are currently in tender are part of the 'Regional Plan to solve the floods in the Region of Murcia', which was presented by the regional Executive last September and aims to reinforce the safety of citizens against torrential rains.The counselor José Ramón Díez de Revenga presented the actions of the roads that join Abarán and Blanca (RM-514), Ojós and Blanca (RM-520), and the area known as the 'Salto de la novia' in Ojós (RM- 522), which have the common objective of protecting them from the usual landslides that occur in episodes of intense rains.The works will consist of the installation of containment devices and stabilization systems according to the characteristics of each area, through fences, barriers or bolts that hold slopes and rocks that are close to the area of ??influence of these three regional highways."These investments are in addition to the more than 5.6 million euros of equity that the regional Administration has already used since last year in the recovery of 78 regional roads that run through 23 municipalities," recalled the head of Development.
