The Exhibition Space Plan, of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Environment, presents this Sunday, December 3, in Ricote, the artistic project of Carlos Montero, under the title 'distant sea'.
The sample collects a series of oil paintings on a black and white board, with small nuances of color.
'Distant sea' opens tomorrow at 12:45 and can be visited until December 17 at the Palacio de Llamas Cultural Center.
The artist presents in these works the characteristics and different states of the sea, ignoring the color to avoid distractions and that the spectator focuses only on the movement.
The Director General of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts (ICA), Marta López-Briones said that "Carlos Montero explores in this work the dark tones through a black and white painting that gives the work timelessness until it reaches to the light".
Lopez-Briones said that "a total of 22 municipalities will host the works of sixty local artists with this exhibition proposal launched by the Ministry of Culture, which started last May."
With this initiative, he added, "we extended the art network to the municipal spaces and brought new artistic techniques to many localities interested in highlighting the art of the creators of the Region and complementing the programming of its cultural offer".
