The Governing Council has given its approval to the conclusion of two agreements between the Ministry of the Presidency and Development and the companies Transportes de Viajeros de Murcia SLU and Busmar SLU to finance the provision of public bus service in the routes in Murcia and its metropolitan area, as well as between the Ricote Valley and the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea and Mar Menor, for a total amount of 4,904,548 euros.
These agreements guarantee that users can continue to enjoy discounts on the price of the bus ticket on their journeys, in addition to maintaining the journeys, itineraries, routes, expeditions, stops and frequencies included in each concession.
By virtue of this agreement, the Community grants a grant of 4,436,548 euros to subsidize the tariffs for journeys in Murcia and the surrounding urban centers, which add up to 10.5 million users per year, and another subsidy of 468,000 euros. for the routes between the Ricote Valley and the coast, which accumulate almost half a million travelers annually.
