The Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia, opens today (12:00 pm) a path of ecotourism in the Valley of Ricote, in which project to adapt the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the Tourist Consortium of the area, has invested a total of 192,479 euros.
This infrastructure, with a length of 3.4 kilometers, which can be toured on foot or by bike and runs between the towns of Ojós, Ulea and Villanueva del Río Segura, is included in the Network of Ecotourism Routes and Trails Region of Murcia.
The works include the improvement of the road with gravel, installing covers with wood railing, plantations, new signs and signals, as well as reception areas and rest.
Marina Garcia stressed that "the road has other interesting facilities such as fishing jobs have been conditioned or the viewpoint of the Salto de la Novia".
The opening ceremony includes a trip to this stretch, which begins and ends Ojós Villanueva del Río Segura, and which takes about an hour.
This action joins the initiative of the bars and restaurants in Villanueva del Río Segura and I Ulea celebrating the Ruta de la Tapa, where you can enjoy delicious tapas and a drink for two euros.

Other investments Consortium
Among the investments that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has allocated the Ricote Valley Tourist Consortium highlights in the town of Ulea, Gurugú Natural Park, for 28,000 euros were invested, the river promenade and beautification Ojós Hull historic town, with 51,428 and 166,000 euros respectively.
