A person has been arrested as an alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health.

La Guardia Civil de Murcia dismantled during the day yesterday a point of production and distribution of marijuana in Ricote, which seized a large number of plants in various stages of production.

This operation, which began last May, is framed within the services that the Guardia Civil de Murcia has enabled the detection and eradication of drug trafficking, point of sale and distribution of narcotics, and has been settled, until time, with the arrest of a person who allegedly engaged in the production of this material and its subsequent distribution to common points of sale in various locations adjacent.

Civil Guard officers performed early research on learning, thanks to the cooperation of citizens, the existence of a yield point of marijuana in the town of Ricote.

These investigations led to the Civil Guard to verify the existence of a property that may be engaging in this illicit activity, checking as this production was consolidated into the illicit market in the whole region.

Once obtained all necessary evidence during yesterday held the operational phase of the operation, conducting a house search, succeeded in dismantling the point of production and detain the person allegedly responsible.

The total balance of this operation against drug trafficking is as follows:

Substances seized

31 plants of cannabis sativa at the various stages of production, reaching a total weight of 15 kilos.

Many tools for the production of marijuana, such as irrigation systems, lighting and heating, fertilizers ...

All effects necessary for the handling, preparation, packaging and sale of drugs from the drug.

Detainees

- A detainee identified as PEL 42 years of age, Spanish and neighbor Ricote and alleged perpetrator of the crime of Drug Trafficking.

Thanks to this operation is accomplished by eliminating a point of production and distribution of drugs in different locations in the Region of Murcia and thereby avoid damaging the population distribution.
